Omnisutra Amitabha - Shurangama Mantra

This mantra is believed to have been given by the Buddha himself to Maitreya to protect Ananda as he became an Arhat. Here it is sung in Sanskrit by Gavin Shri Amneon with mostly Tibetan ritual instrument accompaniment. This mantra is the core of esoteric Buddhism. The first section invokes the benevolent Buddhas and Boddhistavas. The rest is in effect an exorcism, to dispel all negativity and black magic from the various orders of society and nature, and protect Buddhists and meditators.
